Hobbies benefit children in many ways. It gives a child an opportunity to express themselves, and it allows them to discover themselves and build self-esteem. Are also great educational tools. A child interested in collecting rocks is to know the geology and science, and a child learns to write stories about the sentence structure and grammar. Hobbies teach children to set and achieve goals, solve problems and make decisions. You can put the limit to what the child becomes later in life and often become lifelong interest or career.
Children who have hobbies are usually following in the footsteps of their parents, to set a good example to bring their personal hobby. Your child needs space for his hobby, and find an area designated specifically for gamers who can work on it. Realize that entertainment can sometimes be very complicated, so ready to mess because they come with the territory.
Being there for your child to advise, support and encouragement. This is an ideal time to teach your child strong work habits, and following the directions closely, setting goals, and good planning and organization. Show them that nothing worthwhile is ever easy, especially when they begin to feel frustrated with your progress. It is also a good time to talk about personal responsibility and show them how important it is to properly care for the working area and its “tools of the trade. Read the rest of this entry »

Today’s tip will be a little different. It’s more of a saying than a tip, but if you apply what this saying implies, then you will live a happier and more fulfilled life.
The saying comes from a plaque on the wall of my chiropractic school. It states “One Of These Days, Is None Of These Days.”
Now I know we’ve all heard that before, and we all have our own interpretation of this saying, but I want to give you a way to make it apply to your life.
In order for us to live our lives, it requires that we take action. This action does not have to be giant: like taking a rocket to the moon, but it can be as simple as throwing away a single sheet of paper. Let me explain.
We all have dreams and goals in our lives. Most of the time these dreams and goals seem so big that we feel we can never reach them. I was listening to a televised sermon about this very thing. The speaker was talking about how we all have dreams for our lives. He stated that it is our job to commit to our dreams and the rest will follow. He used an example of a CEO he was talking to at a convention. This CEO had a dream of being on T.V. The speaker asked him why he wasn’t on T.V. and the CEO made up all kinds of excuses (it cost too much money - yeah right - this guy’s a CEO, too much time - again - he was on vacation for this seminar, etc). The speaker finally got tired of his excuses and said, “Sir, will you commit to being on TV by next year.” This put the man on the spot. He thought about it, and said that “yes - he would commit to his dream”. Read the rest of this entry »

These days its common to see people buying cards Vitamin C, Chewable tablets and cold and the beginning of flu season. While some swear by strengthening the immune system is still question whether these properties full of great help. Numerous studies show that vitamin C is absolutely necessary for the body to produce collagen, and it is very likely to die of scurvy. Other studies have shown the benefits of the vitamin in other areas, making use of its antioxidant properties. While some argue that the vitamin can be used in high doses to treat colds or reduce the extent and severity of the disease. Firstly, vitamin C has been studied as an aid in the fight against cancer. An exciting, but the first study was conducted in vivo of tumor cells in a test tube environment.
The researchers administered infusions of vitamin C for a series of nine cultures of cells from cancer and four normal cell cultures. The tumor cells have a decrease in the survival rate to fifty percent, while normal cells appear intact. Vitamin C appears to destroy cancer cells in a lab environment. All this is promising, it should be noted that this is not a study to humans, and many things can be promising in the laboratory, but some things do not work in the real world test. Diabetics may be interested to know that vitamin C is studied as a means to increase the receptivity of the body to insulin. Read the rest of this entry »
